Workshops and TrainingWorkshops for Professionals in Ecotherapy and Ecopsychology![]() These allow participants to develop an understanding of both the theory and the practice of ecotherapy and ecopsychology. Through exercises and integration of theory we explore how participants can integrate ecotherapy and ecopsychology ideas into their therapeutic work. Supervision Supervision takes place in natural setting (under shelter when necessary) and it offers the therapist an opportunity to reflect on how they relate to the client, as well as to gather insights from the perspective of another therapist. It also helps the therapist to improve the value they are providing to their clients.

Counsellors and Psychotherapists Outdoors
Meeting of members (non members are welcome but will need to join overall cost 35 pounds inc. weekend) Friday 8th October - Sunday 10th October Location: Powder Mill Woods, Battle, East Sussex Camping self catering Cost: 15 Pounds Meeting to discuss and share good practice in taking therapy practice into the outdoors. Members will be sharing practice in the form of workshops, exploring the question of 'why take therapy into the outdoors?' and also what therapeutic role does nature have in the therapeutic process? Day Workshop: Sat 17th April, Stanmer Park, Brighton 10-4pm Cost £60 Ecotherapy: exploring our therapeutic relationship with the natural world A day exploring the therapeutic potential of the natural environment. Time will be given over to exploring ourselves in relation to the natural world. We will start the day with a social dreaming matrix, taking themes that emerge into experiential exercises exploring our therapeutic relationship with the natural world. Tea and coffee provided please bring lunch to share CPD certificate will be provided.
Please contact Martin Jordan for booking form or with any questions you may have. Weekend Workshop:4th - 6th June 2010, Roeburndale Camping Barn, Middlewood, Nr Wray, Lancaster. A Meeting of Minds in Nature Cost £150 Cost includes barn/camping fees, particpants will need to bring food. We will be working together in a group based in the secluded camping barn, or camping in tents in the meadow adjoining. We will venture out into the surrounding native woodlands and along the River Roeburn for contact with nature, and to explore emerging personal experience. There will be time for group process and personal reflection, as well as theoretical input and discussion. This workshop will be suitable for both for therapeutic practitioners wanting to incorporate the natural environment within their work, and for those already working in this area to help develop ideas and skills further. Wilderness immersion weekends. A chance to explore the process of ecotherapy and nature based therapy in more depth over a camping weekend. •28th-30th Aug - ‘The Living Mountain’ - Rhinog Mountains, Snowdonia National Park. A weekend in the beautiful mountains of North Wales exploring the therapeutic potential of nature. Cost £100 Both weekends are camping or bunk barns, self catering.< |
